Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Arlington, VA, M9 Solutions is a fast-growing small business dedicated to providing IT services and solutions to the Federal Government. We focus on developing and delivering robust, secure, and stable technology solutions across multiple core capability areas. Our team is DELIVERING THE DIGITAL FUTURE™ by mobilizing the right people, skills, clearance levels, and technologies to help organizations who desire improved performance and modern, sustainable change.
HISTORY
Founding M9 Solutions
M9 Solutions was established in 2007 in Atlanta, GA by our Founder and CEO, James McKee. James utilized his 20+ years of experience, to include leading the North American consulting business for Oracle North America, to establish a Fortune 500 Staffing Firm. Originally focused on the commercial sector, M9 grew quickly with a focus on providing technology talent to assist companies, corporations, and Federal Agencies in modernizing their systems, tools, and infrastructure.
Fun Fact: In 2007, James was looking for a company name that was personal to him and his family. He opted for the first letter of his family name, “M”, and his jersey number from his baseball days, the number “9”.
In 2014, M9 seized the opportunity to pivot to the Federal Sector as a subcontractor on the Healthcare.gov initiative. Since then, M9 has continued to experience exponential growth and now focuses 100% on supporting customers across the Federal sector. M9 has matured from a start-up into a robust technology company, focused on improving the lives of our customers as we strive to deliver the digital future.
As we look towards the future, with more than 100 employees supporting 27 Federal Agencies, we are focused on continued growth and movement towards new strategic contract vehicles and prime contracts.

M9 rebrands, establishing a new logo, expanding core values, and defining our color palette. Our brand represents a modern take on an Irish-Celtic Trinity Knot. A nod to our Founder and CEO’s Irish heritage, Trinity Knots have a long history of symbolism for many people throughout human existence, representing an eternal commitment so strong that it cannot be undone. The nine strands of M9’s Trinity Knot also symbolize the nine core values of M9.

M9’s Core Values
Our core values serve as M9’s guide to determine our highest priorities in business. With this mindset, we created nine core values that speak to the culture we manifest, the missions we support, who we hire, and how we grow. The first seven core values were chosen by M9 Founder and CEO, James McKee. The final two core values were selected by M9 corporate employees in a popular vote.
“The first seven core values are representative of values the CEO learned from his father and greatest mentor, Robert Fulton McKee, a self-described “typical Irishman” who lived his life with a smile on his face, a beer in his hand, and a tear in his eye. Robert encouraged his children to work and play hard and to remember to have fun while doing it. He was a true American patriot, having accomplished the rare feat of being honorably discharged from both the Army and Navy over the course of his military service”
